Sunnyside PTO is dedicated to organizing engaging events, enriching programs, and exciting initiatives that bring joy and excitement to our school community. From fun-filled family nights to inspiring guest speakers, we are committed to providing memorable experiences that enhance the educational and social growth of our students.

Our PTO Board is made up of hard-working parents & teachers who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school and our children. Those listed above have volunteered to provide leadership this year. Get to know them and feel free to ask them if you have questions.

We are always looking for more volunteers. Please read through the below listed open chair positions and reach out if you are interested in lending a helping hand. WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!!!
Fundraising Event Coordinator
The Fundraising Chair coordinates events where money is being raised to help fund PTO programs including the Back to School Picnic, Catalog Sales, Spring Fling, etc. Responsibilities include creating communications, recruiting volunteers, collecting orders, coordinating vendors and setting up delivery schedules, etc.
Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat Coordinator will organize this event. Responsibilities include creating flyers, recruiting volunteers, collecting sign ups, coordinating volunteers and organizing entertainment, etc.
Restaurant Fundraiser
Recruits local restaurants/ businesses to organize "restaurant night" where participating restaurant donates portion of proceeds.
Room Parent Coordinators
The Role of the Room Parent Coordinator is to ensure that each classroom has a Room Parent assigned to help with classroom events as well as to streamline communications between parents and the PTO.
Spirit Wear
Organizes and facilitates the ordering of any needed spirit. Distributes as appropriate.
Social Events
Coordinate, communicate and recruit volunteers for school-wide family events. Work as a group to solicit raffle prize items if necessary and/or donors.
Teacher Appreciation/Staff Gifts/Wish List
Arranges for special gifts and treats for the teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week and Stock-the-Lounge events. The committee will also prepare the teachers room prior to school starting and co-ordinate wish lists.
